The Infernal feather is an item used to craft the Infernal wings on a Smithing table with an Elytra.
Obtaining
The Infernal feather has a 20% chance to be dropped by the Hovering Inferno.
Modifications
This item can be renamed without loosing its effect, but it will lose its font color.
Downsides
When upgrading an elytra it will remove all of it's enchantments.
